Pit Musicians

Mac-Haydn Theatre (Chatham, NY) is seeking the following instrumentalists for the upcoming 2024 summer season. In hopes of engaging with musicians in the Hudson Valley and Albany area, local artists are encouraged to apply. MHT is a wonderful place for those looking to build their resume, play a lot of music, gain experience, and build relationships with other musicians. Dates and titles for each position are listed below.

Your submission will be reviewed by the Music Supervisor who will contact select applicants for an interview. Applications will be accepted up until February 11.

Trumpet/Flugelhorn: June 10 - June 24 (West Side Story)

  • $475/wk + Housing & Travel Stipend


Trombone: June 10 - June 24 (West Side Story)

Reed Doubler (Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone):

June 10 - June 24 (West Side Story)

June 24 - July 15 (Sister Act)

July 29 - August 12 (All Shook Up)

August 12 - September 2 (Something Rotten)

  • $475/wk + Housing & Travel Stipend


Guitar (Acoustic & Electric): July 29 - September 2 (All Shook Up, Something Rotten)

  • $475/wk + Housing & Travel Stipend


Harp: September 2 - September 16 (The Fantasticks)

  • $525/wk + Housing & Travel Stipend
