Technical Director - Position Summary
The Technical Director will be responsible for overseeing production activities related to assigned shows. The TD will oversee and support the execution of production elements and personnel. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Supervise and participate in set construction, lighting, rigging, painting, and audience seating platforms. Attendance at first read thru, if required, various rehearsals, production meetings, designer runs, all of tech week, dry and wet tech and strike required. With Stage Management determine build, load-in, strike and tech schedules.

Ensure all technical aspects of the production work smoothly and safely. Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Address safety hazards and personnel issues promptly. Label and keep track of all rental equipment and facilitate returns.
FEE - $4,000

Production Manager - Position Summary
The Production Manager (PM) will be responsible for overseeing production activities related to assigned shows. The PM will oversee and support the execution of production elements and personnel. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Oversee set construction, lighting, rigging, painting and audience seating platforms. Attendance at first read thru, if required, various rehearsals, production meetings, designer runs, all of tech week, dry and wet tech and strike required.

Oversee production calendars and design deadlines. Determine build, load-in, tech, strike schedules and return of rental items. Attend production meetings. Guide design teams through the design process to guarantee the timely completion of all designs in budget and on schedule.

Ensure all technical aspects of the production work smoothly and safely. Coordinate schedules for lighting, sound, set, costume and other crews and appropriate times for hang/focus.

In consultation with the Director and Company Manager, supervise production staff, including Stage Management and contractors. Facilitate clear communications throughout the production process, and act as a liaison between directors, designers, stage managers, and administrative staff, helping with problem solving if necessary.

Ensure all technical aspects of the production work smoothly and safely. Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Address safety hazards and personnel issues promptly. Label and keep track of all rental equipment and facilitate returns.
FEE - $3,890

Stage Manager - Position Summary
The SM will be responsible for assisting the Production Stage Manager and Director in activities related to the assigned show. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Notate all blocking, cues and scene changes, track costume changes and props and create the Prompt Book. Communicate with designers and Production Manager, (PM) regarding technical aspects of productions. Knowledge of Q-Lab a plus. Coordinate and communicate rehearsal and call times. Work with PM to coordinate load-ins, tech, performances strike, and return of rentals.

Attending all rehearsals, clerical organization, and insuring the smooth execution of the performances. Coordinate interns, and actor and team communication. Attendance at first read thru, all production meetings, designer runs, all of tech week, dry and wet tech and strike required. Determine schedule, build, load-in, strike and tech schedules.

Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Address safety hazards and personnel issues promptly.
Equity SM Fee- AEA Special Appearance Contract. $550 weekly.
7 Weeks for per production - $3,850 each
14 Weeks for both productions - $7,700 each

Non-Equity Fee - $400 weekly
7 weeks for per productions - $2,800 each
14 week for both productions - $5,600 total

Assistant Stage Manager - Position Summary
The ASM will be responsible for assisting the Production Stage Manager and Director in activities related to the assigned show. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Attending production meetings, all rehearsals, clerical organization, and insuring the smooth execution of the performances. Set-up and restore rehearsal room and stage for performance. Run sound, coordinate interns for line notes and other jobs, and actor and team communication. Attendance at first read thru, all production meetings, designer runs, all of tech week, dry and wet tech and strike required. With Stage Management determine schedule, build, load-in, strike and tech schedules.

Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Address safety hazards and personnel issues promptly.

One show - Imporance of Being Earnest only.
Fee - $1,700


Costume, Lighting, and Set Designer
Candidates will have a college degree in Theater or equivalent experience. Candidate will have a minimum of two years-experience as a Designer.
FEE - $1,900 for one show, or both shows fee is $3,800.

Since 1988 Voice Theatre, (VT), has performed in the UK, Germany, France, the Middle East, NYC and thru-out the US. VT recently renovated and installed heating & air-conditioning in the historic 100-seat Bethany Hall Theater which now serves as the company home. VT is a rapidly growing company with national and international exposure. The 2024 season consists of two main stage productions; The Importance of Being Ernest and The Thanksgiving Play, the 7th Annual Spring Reading Series and in July VT will once again offer the Summer Youth Program. We continue to offer free workshops for BIPOC students and undocumented, unaccompanied refugee teens. VT has implemented numerous Arts in Education programs combating racism, exclusion, and bullying in Detroit-MI, NYC, Hannover-Germany, London-UK, Ramallah-Palestine among many other cities and countries.
