DESCRIPTION

Looking for an organized and tech-savy individual who is an overly positive person and great at multitasking. This position is for those who are interested in lighting design and looking to learn more with hands on experience assisting our accredited lighting designer for our production of Broadway's Cinderella at Westport Country Playhouse staring Cady Huffman, Kaitlyn Davidson, Antonio Cipriano, and Ta'Rea Campbell. From Loadin, to Focus, to Tech Rehearsals, to Dress Rehearsal, to Opening Night a full start to finish process of designing for musical theatre on a professional level.

Job Responsiblities:
-Create Followspots Cue Sheets
-Take Lighting Cue Notes during the rehearsals.
-Update the Lighting Plot & Paperwork.
-Compare Work Notes with the Designer & Master Electrician.
-Oversee Quality Control of Special Effects and Atmospherics.
-Network! Yes this is your job, network with other theatre professional during the process and broaden your abilities by being a versitale theatre professional.

Requirements:
-Beginner Level knowledge of theatrical lighting (Familar terms: Leko, DMX, Gobo, Two-fer, etc.)
-Moderate Level knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel and/or Google Docs/Sheets. (min. Beginner Level)
-The ability to take notes, catagorize them, and follow up until they are completed.

Bonus Points:
-Any knowledge of Vectorworks and/or Lightwright.
-If you have a vehicle and can drive, mostly for coffee/meal breaks for you and the designer only.
-If you get a thrill shopping for new tech gadets and office supplies, "the shoe" just might fit! :)

Supplies:
A working laptop, jump drive, and items to take notes.

Schedule:
Mostly 8a-8p (including two hour long meal breaks) Sunday to Saturday.

Compensation:
$500.00 plus meals.

Not Included:
Transportation & Lodging will unfornately not be provided.
